Angelo Gabriel Chavez, a.k.a. Gelo, currently works at Colorsteel Systems Corporation as a Management Trainee. Colorsteel Systems Corporation is a manufacturer of pre-painted long span roofing and framing systems. The company has 36 sales offices and 7 plants across the Philippines.

As a Management Trainee, Gelo undergoes training to learn more about the operations of each department in Colorsteel. His training will continue for two years and after that, he can apply as a manager of a specific department of the firm.

Gelo was a Marketing Intern under the Marketing team at Valens Research. During his internship, he helped the team in scheduling and writing social media posts, electronic direct mails, and one Dynamic Marketing Communiqué (DMC) article. He also assisted the team in compiling the DMC articles into different eBooks.

The biggest opportunity that Gelo wants to focus on in his current job is seeing and going to other plants and offices that Colorsteel has in the Philippines. He considers this as a great avenue to meet other professionals in the field and be exposed to different work cultures. He hopes through this opportunity, he will contribute to the continuous growth and improvement of the company.

Outside of work, Gelo is an adventurous person. He loves traveling to different places and experiencing new things. He just can’t show this side of him nowadays because he chooses to stay indoors most of the time to stay safe during the pandemic.
