Anuj Parikh is currently working as an Equity Research Associate at Capital Group where he covers Tech/Semis for Asia and Europe, and is a generalist for the Indian market.

Anuj worked as a Research Analyst Intern during his time with Valens, working on fundamental credit and equity analysis in different industries using Valens’ proprietary analytical process. The experience and knowledge that he gained at Valens with fundamental, bottom-up research has made a significant impact in his career. It also confirmed his interest and passion for investing.

Anuj also worked as a junior analyst at Kynikos Associates where he studied companies within Autos and Auto Parts, Metals and Mining, and Transport and Logistics sectors globally through a short-only lens. He was also an Equity Research Associate at Cowen & Company where he led associate coverage of the data center (CONE, COR, DFT, DLR, EQIX, and INXN) and tower industries (AMT, CCI, and SBAC).

In his current position, the biggest areas that he wants to focus on are to develop expertise in his coverage and to gain more experience with primary research. This involves speaking with competitors, suppliers, customers, and management teams of companies that they handle.

The biggest challenges he faces are to find ways to add value to his analyst team’s research process through differentiated and insightful analysis on industries and companies covered. Also, he wants to be proficient with the various accounting standards for international companies.

What most people don’t know is that Anuj is an avid LA Lakers fan. He enjoys watching and playing basketball regularly.
