Ashley “Ash” Tolentino is currently a General Accounting Analyst in Accenture, a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company. In line with that, he supports one of the world’s largest Internet Business Exchange (IBX) data centers and colocation providers as a General Ledger Accountant, where he handles one of their legal entities in Singapore.

As a General Accounting Analyst, he supports the end-to-end General Accounting processes, period-end close, and reporting activities of the client’s reporting entity in the APAC region. He also prepares journals, monthly balance sheet schedules, and balance sheet flux analysis as part of his work.

He develops internal controls, policies, processes, and procedures and ensures that they are properly scoped and enforced as well as effective and efficient. He is also actively involved in projects/system enhancements and any other ad hoc duties when assigned.

He is a member of two groups in Accenture — Great Place to Work (GPTW) and Learning the Ropes (LTR). These groups promote “work-life balance” within the company. He is also a member of “The Helping Ninja.” This group conducts outreach programs for the benefit of the marginalized communities in the country

Before joining Accenture, Ash was a Research intern at EAS. He worked with the research team in getting information and running macros of certain files, performed CEA call analysis, and handled the TMT sector of the U.S.

One of the things that he’s looking forward to in line with his current job is to focus on automation initiatives in order to simplify how decisions are made that will lead to a more scalable and efficient output.
