Daniel Concessi is a Research Associate at Wellington Management. He is a member of the firm’s Launch Research Associate program, a 5-year long rotational program in which “launchers” work with multiple different investors throughout the duration of the program.

Daniel has also been working the past year for a sector-specific portfolio manager who manages ~$3 billion US of long-only assets and a smaller sum of long/short assets, all within the capital markets industry (e.g. asset managers, investment banks, custodial banks, and online brokers). For his next rotation, he will be doing equity research with Wellington’s Global Impact fund—a fairly nascent fund that buys companies with greater than 50% of revenues coming from sources identified as being positively impactful to the world.

Daniel worked as an Analyst at Valens Research prior to his current job. He helped in putting together the equity/credit research reports as well as the Cognitive and Emotion Analysis for clients.

Daniel wants to hone and continue to cultivate a process for bottom-up stock picking that plays to his strengths. He is also involved with multiple other organizations including The Last Call Foundation and the Boston CFA Society to name a few.

Other than his interest to hone his knowledge and skills in the field of Finance, Daniel is also looking forward to running the Boston Marathon this 2019, and coach for a middle school town league basketball team.
