Eduardo “Ed” Capa Jr. works at ICON plc as part of the IT Service Desk team. ICON plc is an Irish medical device company that offers consulting, clinical development, and commercialization services in 40 countries, including the Philippines and the US.

Ed’s main responsibility for his role is to provide call, chat, and ticket technical support to all ICON employees.

When he worked as an IT Technical Support at Valens Research, Ed’s main tasks were assisting in technical support in the office, sending EDMs (electronic direct mails), and making sure everything related to IT was working smoothly.

Ed is currently focusing on improving his technical knowledge and skills in the programming sector. He is also working on enhancing his communication skills.

The only major challenge Ed is experiencing in his job right now is being the sole IT personnel during his shift, which means he has to take charge of all channels and other IT-related tasks the whole day.

Outside of work, Ed is a fun and witty person. People don’t always notice those characteristics in him because he’s usually serious and not that expressive with his emotions at work.
