Josef Singson currently works at Nestlé Philippines Inc. as a Corporate Management Trainee under the Commercial Track (Sales and Marketing) Department. Nestlé is a multinational food and beverage conglomerate that has 447 factories in 189 countries, including the Philippines.

According to Josef, being part of a food and beverage company made him see a lot of opportunities to enhance the lives of Filipinos. In this time of pandemic, he says Nestlé is being resilient to operational and distributional challenges in order to contribute to a healthier future for the Filipinos.

Josef was a Research intern at Valens. He mentioned that during his time with the firm, he helped in auditing financial statements of multinational companies in the US and China. Aside from his job at Nestlé, Josef is an active trader in the global financial markets. He says he has been a trader for three years now and manages a small private discretionary fund for close friends and family.

Josef aims to earn a CMT (Chartered Market Technician) degree. He notes he passed the Level 1 exam last December 2019 and will take the next exam on December 2020.

A part of Josef’s goals is to develop his technical analysis skill in order to take advantage of market timing regardless of asset class. He states being a trader is a life-long process of learning and self-improvement. His vision is to help his fellow Filipinos to become more financially literate and responsible.
