Leonardo “Leo” Alvaro is currently working as an IT Technical Support at Generix Solutions & Consultancy Services FZ-LLC in Dubai.

He also has responsibilities as an IT Administrator Assistant working on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V Manager in Windows Server 2016. He handles all hardware and software problems in desktop, laptop, and server use in the company. He also manages Office 365 for the company’s emails, IP Phones, and CCTV cameras.

Leo is aiming to become a certified IT Administrator and to learn about ERP because most of the big companies use this application/software to easily and properly document each transaction. He also wants to hone his skills as an IT professional and earn certification from known IT companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, etc. He is currently studying to pass the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) exam.

Before Leo decided to pursue his career in Dubai, he worked as an IT Technical Support at Valens Research for 2 years. He was in charge of all IT tasks for computers, printers, and network maintenance installing, configuring, and monitoring. His other duties were to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, identify solutions to resolve IT issues within the office (hardware, software, and network), and run Linux-based scripts on U.S. servers that support marketing objectives. He also assisted the Marketing team with the IT aspects of social media and email marketing.

If there’s one thing that Leo’s closest friends know about him is that he is a sociable and funny person. He is the type of person whom you can naturally have fun with. During busy days at work, he helps his colleagues de-stress through his funny punch lines.

Leo is thankful to everyone at Valens who supported him on his career and for the friendships that were built. He is grateful and thankful for all the knowledge and skills that he acquired during his time in the company.
