Mackenzie Corbin is currently a Senior Analyst in the Global Strategy and Business Development Department of Cengage. He specializes in Commercial Strategy and Pricing. His main responsibilities are focusing on analyses to price optimization and augmenting the revenue model through Cengage Unlimited. Cengage Unlimited is Cengage’s transition to a digital subscription-based offering. This is where he assesses commercial feasibility and develops launch pricing. Cengage is a leading publisher of higher education course-ware and textbooks.

At the moment, they are conducting a commercial review of each of their portfolio companies, which operate independently from their core US Higher-Ed business. They are focusing on the commercial review and a repricing exercise in their international business unit first. These will then be followed by the global launch of Cengage Unlimited.

During his employment at Valens Research as an analyst, he performed extensive research and analysis to evaluate a firm’s market relative performance/valuation and credit worthiness. He also authored dozens of credit reports and security analyses on firms across all sectors.

Besides being an analyst, Mackenzie is an enthusiastic follower of motorsports and competes in a racing simulation league during his spare time. According to him, he’s even able to use his data modeling and analysis skills to evaluate telemetry data for his races.
