Maureen Cruz currently works at FactSet Philippines Inc. as a Senior Specialist under its Asia Pacific Client Consulting Group. FactSet is a financial data and software company that has over 60 offices in 24 countries, including the Philippines.

According to Maureen, her main task as a Senior Specialist is to manage accounts, understand the business workflows of their clients, and create strategies to generate new businesses for the firm.

Maureen used to be a Research intern at Valens. She mentioned that during her time with the firm, she mainly helped in auditing company financials.

One of the biggest tasks that she looks forward to working on in her current job is handling regional accounts, such as Singapore and Australia, on top of the local accounts she is currently handling.

So far in her career, Maureen considers passing the December 2019 CFA Level One exam and joining the Asia Pacific Client Consulting Team as her two most memorable achievements. She says these have always been a part of her goals for the past two years.

Outside of work, Maureen likes to give back to her community through small acts of kindness. During the Enhanced Community Quarantine period, she was able to donate to several organizations such as Caritas Manila, Youth For Christ, and McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen. She has also been annually donating her hair to Makati Medical Center’s Cancer Center for over three years now.
