Sophia Pagliawan, a.k.a. Phia, currently works as a Content Marketing Associate at StraightArrow Corporation. StraightArrow Corporation is a pioneer of creative process outsourcing in the Philippines. The firm provides marketing support to digital agencies, small and medium businesses, corporate marketing teams, and solopreneurs, and has functioned as creative back-office teams for various media brands and Fortune 500 companies since 2010.

As a Content Marketing Associate, Phia offers support in content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing, and inbound marketing. Her regular tasks include writing blogs about businesses, marketing strategies, and outsourcing.

Phia was a Content Writing Intern at Valens Research. She was responsible for helping the Marketing Department in creating Dynamic Marketing Communiqué (DMC) articles, social media emails (SMEs), white papers, and other content-related client requests. She also helped restructure the DMCs in collaboration with MBO Partners and The I Institute’s Business Builder Daily (BBD) newsletter.

One of the challenges Phia experienced in her current job was having little knowledge about SEO and social media marketing. With the right training, she is getting more interested in social media marketing. That will likely be her second area of expertise, next to content writing, as it aligns with her current career goals.

Phia is a huge gamer. She doesn’t particularly enjoy going out to socialize with her peers because she’s more comfortable sitting in front of her computer screen and playing her favorite video games. She’s also quite invested in game development and its more technical aspects, like lighting, animation, audio, etc.
