Sophia Rose Caramat currently works as an Article Moderator at iOPEX Technologies Philippines, Inc. iOPEX Technologies Philippines, Inc. is a new-generation digital services provider offering optimized digital engineering, operations, and studio services to client businesses in different parts of the world. 

As an Article Moderator, Sophia is responsible for fact-checking, reviewing, and moderating articles and headlines across various queues from online news and current affairs magazine, Newsbreak. Her daily workload includes moderating at least 300 news articles or titles. 

Sophia was a Content Writing Intern at Valens Research. Her tasks included conducting in-depth research and writing articles related to marketing, communications, and corporate strategy. She also helped draft copies for Valens’ social media posts and event-related collateral. 

One of the struggles Sophia experiences in her current job is moderating articles featuring sensitive or controversial topics. Despite that, she is thankful for the weekly client calibrations and monthly audits that provide her and her team with heightened awareness of setting aside personal biases. This enables them to strictly adhere to community guidelines during the moderation process. 

Outside of work, Sophia is a coffee enthusiast. She likes watching various coffee recipes on YouTube and trying them at home with her younger sister. She also has a passion for art and enjoys museum hopping. Currently, the Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo, Rizal is on top of her list. She hopes to visit the place soon when she has the time.
